The Kibbe Body Type Quiz

You are currently viewing The Kibbe Body Type Quiz

This quiz is developed by David Kibbe in his book Metamorphosis-“Discover Your Image Identity and Dazzle as Only You Can,” in 1987.

To begin with , I assume you have already read the introductory post and also the 13 Kibbe body types. If not, please read it inorder to help you understand how the kibbe system works and equip yourself with the right information to proceed with this test.

Kibbe analyzes the physical characteristics and the personality essence you project to identify your body type. Once it is analyzed, these unique attributes will be translated into the yin and yang scale .

This balance in the yin and yang scale is what determines your body type or your image identity.

There are 3 main factors into consideration to determine the body type of an individual.

  • Bone structure
  • Body Flesh
  • Facial Features(facial bones and flesh)

Each of these 3 has a separate dominant yin or dominant yang.

Bone structure: By bone structure what Kibbe means is the skeletal framework and how the shape and size of the bone is in an individual. By identifying one’s bone structure, it is easier to create a more balanced and flattering clothing choices.

Body flesh: By body flesh Kibbe means is the distribution of flesh on a person’s body.

Facial Features: The lines and shapes of the face including the size and shape of eyes, nose, cheekbones, jawline and lips and the flesh distribution of a person is taken into consideration

Kibbe Body Type: How to prepare for this quiz?

Take a picture of yourself wearing a swim wear or anything snug that reveals your body. Take a photo of your body by standing straight and camera placed at chest level. If you need assistance, ask someone to assist you in helping get the right shot. This step is very crucial as you will need this picture while doing the test. It has to be clear and the camera should be placed at the right angle inorder to avoid any deviations.
